DVTup
Non-visual architecture, user experience, and participatory project engineering.
DVTup is an innovative entrepreneurship project in the field of urban planning and spatial design. DVTup develops and implements engaging protocols for users of public spaces and stakeholders in urban development. This protocol is based on the fundamentals of “Imaginary Emancipation” as applied to the creation of public spaces. The power of the imagination has enabled the users of these spaces to take an active role. The power of “Emancipation” has broadened the scope of stakeholders (project managers, clients, local governments, etc.) to empower them to modify their processes.
DVTup is a social and solidarity economy enterprise founded by Julie Heyde, who was later joined by Eulalie Blanc. Between 2015 and 2023, DVTup implemented its protocols across more than 100 projects in the metropolitan areas of Paris, Marseille, and Bordeaux. DVTup has grown into an organization with ten employees committed to horizontal governance. In 2024, following Julie Heyde’s departure, DVTup joined AltoStep (an environmental consulting firm) as an independent division and continues to grow and implement the methodologies and values championed by Julie and Eulalie.
